Performer: Marga Gomez
Title: A Taste of Spanish Stew
Synopsis: In this excerpt from her upcoming full length premiere 20 year old Marga escapes her domineering parents in New York City for the rainbows of San Francisco. Although her first taste of freedom is sweet it won't last unless she can recreate the taste of her parents' Carribean cooking to win a job at a groovy cafe staffed by poets, puppeteers and coke dealers.
Bio: Marga Gomez is preparing for the October premiere of her 15th solo play “Spanish Stew” at San Francisco’s New Conservatory Theater Center. She has also been presented Off-Broadway, nationally and internationally. Gomez is the recipient of a GLAAD Media Award for Theatre and a 2022 fellowship from United States Artists as well as a 2024 San Francisco Arts Council Grant. Learn more at margagomez.com

Synopsis:
Bio: Beth McLaughlin is a San Francisco-based solo performer and has performed at various fringe festivals throughout the country and Canada. Along with Here to See the World, Beth has written and performed two other full-length shows, The Readiness Is All and Cocky, and is currently working on her fourth, Silenced.

Title: Who's that? Duh, it's God
Synopsis: "Who’s That? Duh, It’s God" is a sharply funny, deeply personal show tracing one woman’s quest for meaning—from childhood revelations about God and Santa, to parental secrets, spiritual yearnings, and modern-day showdowns. Whether guided by nuns or aliens, she never stops asking: who’s really in charge here? A poignant and hilarious meditation on faith and family.
Bio: Marion Lovinger has been writing and performing solo performances for 13 years, developing her work with David Ford. She has performed regularly at the Marsh Theater in Berkeley and San Francisco, Stage Werx and more recently Sunset Solos. She was part of the Fringe Festival in SF in 2017 with her one hour solo "To be or not to be, telle est la question" (in English) and also performed as an actress in several French plays with the company "Carmina".
